	                You Should Be Here is a book about Helsinki made by Bulgaria Design. It was published just before the Eurovision Song Contest came to Helsinki in May 2007. Unlike typical city guides it offers an alternative view on Helsinki, the city of parties.

My diploma work deals with Toolonlahti area in Helsinki and its surroundings. I have researched the area?s complicated history, present time and near future, and looked for possibilities to create different action possibilities in the area, and structures to serve their purpose. In my work I propose ways to locate small saunas in the Toolonlahti area for town residents and tourists to rent, with consideration of the present situation of the area and the existing planning scheme. I also consider the applicability of the sauna model - that was born to fit the special requirements of the area ? in other environments.

After finishing school and military service I studied to become a cabinet maker/artisan in the Oulu Institute of Arts and Crafts. After graduation I worked as a furniture and instrument maker, until in 2000 I began studying at the University of Art and Design Helsinki in the Department of Spatial and Furniture Design.
Along with my studies I have been employed in several design agencies, and have also worked as a freelancer in various design and construction projects. Outside work my hobbies are fitness training and music.

         		<title>The Good and the Bad: Helsinki and Buenos Aires</title>
	         	<description>

In my works I want to shed light on how one&#039;s cultural background and the life one has led affect how his or her surroundings are perceived. Exhibited is a for me important brutally ugly university building made of concrete from Buenos Aires. The other three works are sceneries of my childhood Helsinki, Myllypuro.
The question that interests me is what a pleasant urban space looks like and does it exist in Helsinki Tourist vistas, beautiful sights, valuable buildings or fancy districts might not interest me at all and on the other hand an ?officially? insignificant place can be most important to one human being. And yet, why is Helsinki so grey?

I am Sonja Salomaki, 28, MA in textile art.
In my studies I have tried to get a comprehensive view of my discipline, and I have made both artistic and commercial projects. I think that internationalism is important in textile art, too, so I have concentrated on language studies, taking a year as an exchange student in Argentina and as an intern in France.
In the midst of artistic uncertainty and madness, I think it is vital to have life outside of design too.

Placebo is an enigmatic thriller about a young woman, Edith, whom a man abandons outside the city in an unconscious state. Edith, who has lost her memory, returns to the city and tries to continue living her life peacefully, but certain events lead her back to her husband - the man, who is Edith&#039;s worst enemy. The film is the diploma work of director Taneli Mustonen, cinematographer Daniel Lindholm and production designer Sanna-Mari Pirkola for the School of Motion Picture, Television and Production Design. It has been produced by the Theater Academy of Finland in association with the University of Art and Design Helsinki and YLE/FST.

Team: Daniel Lindholm and Sanna-Mari Pirkola

Collaboration: YLE/FST, University of Art and Design Helsinki, NorMa/Theatre Academy of Finland

Taneli Mustonen got a box seat to the world of cinema already as a child, when his parents took upon themselves to keep alive the supply of movies in Outokumpu by continuing to operate the cinema Kino Marita as a family business when it would otherwise have been closed down. The cinema reportoire broadened with new and different types of films in the 1990s when the family opened another theatre in Joensuu, specialising in movies imported by Cinema Mondo. As a schoolboy, Taneli worked as projectionist in the cinemas. He still likes to work as a projectionist whenever he can to keep up the vanishing skill of projecting 35mm film.
Inspired by his own films, amateur theatricals and filmmaking, Taneli sought admission to study film directing in 1998. He has directed three short films, as well as advertisements and music videos. In 2005 he worked as direction assistant at the filmmaking school in the University.
Apart from directing, Taneli Mustonen has also written scripts. In 1998 he received the filmmaking school&#039;s award for the best short film script.
