The starting point is a spacious apartment that can be divided into smaller spaces using tipping walls. A tipping wall can be hoisted to the roof when a space divider isn?t needed and lowered down when privacy is wanted; space utilization is thus maximized.

Maarit Hiltunen graduates in spring 2006 as a Master of Arts from the degree programme in Spatial and Furniture Design. She is particularly interested in the aesthetics, diversity and efficiency of space.

Along with her studies, Maarit has also designed spaces and furniture for private as well as public premises.
She relaxes best when she is on the go, preferably in a dance hall and on the dance floor. Maarit is mother to the lovely five-year-old Heta, who has been an important part of her studies at the University from the admission test onwards.
