Design Mobile is a demo on exploring and bookmarking art and design objects with mobile phones and NFC tags. Social Objects project asked Nene Tsuboi to design the icons for the NFC tags. Read more about Design Mobile at http://www.hobbyprincess.com.

A reindeer bell (poronkello) by an unknown subcontractor of Stockmann
This reindeer bell represents Tracing the Reindeer exhibition at the Craft Museum of Finland in Jyväskylä which has taken part in the Social Objects project. The exhibition displays crafts from the reindeer herding area of the North. Reindeer bells are used for herding.

Odile cup by an unknown designer / Arabia
This cup was found by Ulla-Maaria (http://www.thinglink.org/user/ullamaaria) at a market near Senaatintori, Helsinki. It is a rarity manufactured by Arabia with golden decoration on a black surface plus an interior covered with gold.

You Should Be Here is a book about Helsinki made by Bulgaria Design. It was published just before the Eurovision Song Contest came to Helsinki in May 2007. Unlike typical city guides it offers an alternative view on Helsinki, the city of parties.

Tasaraita striped sock by Annika Rimala / Marimekko
The stripes of this sock represent a classic Finnish pattern; the Tasaraita stripe. It was designed for Marimekko by Annika Rimala in 1968. Rimala believed in anonymous design. Her aim was to create something functional, practical and timeless, something for both genders.

Rub-A-Dub handbag by Miia Kylmänen / SECCO
SECCO products are treasures of wasteland. They are discovered and transformed from the endless stream of waste material. This bag was made out of the inner tube of a rubber tire.
